Will Crucial 512MB (2x256MB) DDR2 PC2-4200C4 Dual Channel Kit (CT2KIT3264AA53E) work with a Asus M2NPV-MX (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard because the board says it only supports 800/667/533 RAM. Will it not step down any more?

reason being im just building a machine for a friend and it won't boot so this is the only thing that i can think of.

pc-4200 ram is actyuallt 533mhz wich meets the requirements

pc-4200 = 533
pc-5300 = 667
pc-6400 = 800

whats the spec of t he machine ?

AMD 3500 AM2, 512 RAM and an Asus M2NPV-MX motherboard
