I am going to buy the e8400. Will the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R need to be flashed?

ok depnds on what bios you got in all ready. according to gigabyte cpu support list you need bios version f11 and above to fully support that chip

Is it easy to flash it? Can it be done in Windows? This will be my first build. Hopefully I get one of the new batches so I don't have to flash it.

you can do it in windows but i dont trust it to risky in my opinion. it is pretty easy to do and hopefulllty you wont have to
