Right firstly.. my car got written off about a month ago. A women pulled out on a cross roads and hit me in my passengers side corner.

since then i have still been on the insurance and i have a rental car.

I just bought a new car today, and looking to see if i can get cheaper insurance, currently paying 1500ish for a 1.2 punto, have just got a 1.2 clio. Which is newer. Y reg.

I have about 9 months on my current insurance, can i carry that over to another insurance company to get it cheaper? currently looking for 3rd party.

If anyone could answer this it would be great.

Thanks.
:)

You can't carry it over, you'd have to start a new policy and lose the ability to gain 1 years NCB in 3 months.

You're probably better off changing the existing policy to the new car for the remaining 3 months, even if it is a bit more expensive, for the sake of getting the NCB
