Hi all

My car is on PCP, and I was thinking what actually do I do when stuff needs replacing. So for an example, brake pads. Can I go out and fit DS2500's or do I need to buy OEM pads? Can I go and stick braided hoses on?

Same with tyres, do I need to replace with like for like items?

Never really thought about it until today. :)

Thanks!

I'm curious about this too... haven't got anything on PCP, but almost did the other week...

Guess you don't feel like the effort of reading your finance agreement though... if there are any limits like this, then they would need to be clearly stated within the agreement.

Thanks for the reply. :)

Yeah I tried to do a quick Google on the subject, but didn't find much. The only helpful thing I found, to do specificaly with "modding", was to speak to the finance company as there maybe a price penalty, etc. Doesn't really help with regards to what I need to know. :p

I may just have to give the dealership a call and see what they say... most likely to call the finance company.

Thanks.

It isnt your car, so you can't modify it. But I can't imagine different brake pads would be an issue?

Why fit braided hoses to somebody elses car anyway :p

:) I was just shooting out some ideas. Couldn't think of anything else other than pads, tyres and errrrr hoses. lol. Brain went dead!

So do we think pads and that sort of thing will be OK? Like I say, just curious, and certainly nothing does need replacing on the car anyways. Only done just over 2k miles. :p

You shouldn't modify the car outside the requirements of the warranty.

I don't think DS2500 are E stamped?

Read the T+Cs
