Quick question

Hey lads, have a quick question. On the H100i using the Y splitter is it safe to connect a 3 pin fan to the end leaving 1 pin showing then plugging the splitter into the block, now I know they can't be controlled by the corsair link but I would imagine they will run 100 percent. Currently using 2 Sp120'S Connected to the motherboard in pull and 2 stock fans in push, but was considering changing the stock fans to my older Gentle Typhoon which are 3 pin for now. Just wasn't sure if having that pin showing on each fan was safe.

Yep will be fine, its just used for PWM.

Done this before when I had some old corsairs that were all PWM and wanted to control them from my BigNG, daisy chained them (as on a radiator) and connected up without issue. Meant any changes made went to all of them

Alright cheers mate, just didn't want to leave a pin incase of a short or something. Will change the stock fans over to the typhoons later.

Worked a treat, now its much quieter and temps have dropped. Those stock fans are terrible. Cheers Pauly
