Ive noticed the cpus have risen in price which im devastated about because now im pushing to afford a i9 9900k n so will have no money spare. Will my old arctic freezer heatsink fit? Currently on my i5 6600k?

Thanks guys

No good for me im buying week thurs :(

Thanks for the reply, so the heatsink is no good. Now dunno what im gunna do, is the Arctic heatsink for the i9 9900k a gd choice?

Im now looking for a heatsink n my jaw just hit the floor seeing the price of the dark rock pro 4, is there a recommended sink which is a bit cheaper, grrrr wishing my pockets were deeper

Im not actually sure, its a 650 watt I think, its a corsair one I believe if I remember
Have a 1080 card 16gb n 3 ssds one of em being a M2
Will I be ok?

Ill check the model and get back to you but my money situation is I never have much so I buy when I have it, buying cheaper and then in a month buying more expensive doesn't work for me.
I can get the i9 9900k and a cooler itll just skin me is all n ill be paying for it next month but needs must and atleast I can play games without worry.
Good news my current cpu cooler will fit but I think its the crap one at bottom, number 7 rev 2
And I dont like the idea of turning off what you mentioned so I wont use it afterall, just buy a gd cooler
Any you recommend guys?

Im buying the 9900k bcus someone above said or on another thread that going from a 6600k to anything other than a 9900k is a waste of time and pairing anything other than a 9900k to my new maximus hero board doesn't do it justice
This not correct?
Thanks guys

Edit: This is the board I already have sat next to me waiting to be put into my Phantek evolv-x case along with whatever cpu I buy

No my pc is used just for gaming, n the occasional video. I may be ordering today so if anyone can chime in with a reason not to buy a 9900k then I guess ill just bit the bullet n go ahead n to be fair theres only 60 pound difference between the 9700k and 9900k at mo so I may aswell get the best

Hey guys lets not get into a argument over me haha, I appreciate both and all the input ive received here. Money is a issue but not in a way itll be to much of a problem, I just cant afford to buy endless parts. When the best cpu is only 60 pound more than the one without HT in my view I might aswell get the best one. Also ive decided to go with the Asus AIO watercooling unit

Its gd all round because now I have a maximus hero xi board with a asus 1080 (gd one mind) cost me 900 when I bought it from here. A lovely Phantek evolv-x case, a M2 and 2 other evo ssd`s, vengeance 3200mhz ram 16gb and the 9900k with cooler. Once fitted I will then buy the asus 1200w psu new on the market with a new M2 and mayb 32gb of ram. Im good the future and very happy. I just need that fanatec steering wheel I got my eyes on haha

I hope you all think this cooler is good enough?

Guys where do you think I shud mount the radiator and fans in my Evolv-x case? Front or top, the front has 2 fans already in it for drawing air in. so the top would be ideal but if you think the front n putting the 2 fans at the top then plz say

Thanks guys

Ive received the cpu and cooler today, funny thing... it was just in a box, no plastic covering it, the cpu is lose just inside a tiny cardboard box. The first time ive ever got a cpu in that state and its the most expensive one I bought. Is this normal or has there been some mistake, it better work. Anyway ive decided to buy a new psu this thurs, now ive got my eyes on this.... is it good enough?

Ive just got a shock, I mustve had my Corsair psu in my last case which is in the spare room, this is a super flower 750w model number is sf-750f14mg
Is this gd enough, the leads are bit cack on it, but I might just keep it if its ok n use the money to buy a extra ssd in a month
