hi, i have asked in the stoarge thread. but no relpy.
i have just ordered a m4 128gb, where in my bois do i find the bit to change to achi ?

also when do i updated it? before i have installed windows or after? or doesnt it matter

thanks

Do it before.

You might find it in integrated peripherals if its a Gigabyte board for example, its the SATA controller setting (IDE/AHCI/RAID)

so do i save it onto a CD and load it up before i put 7 on

sorry forgot to say my motherboard is a msi z68 g45

thanks

Its just a BIOS setting mate, so press DELETE or whatever it is to go into the BIOS, change it and save+exit.

Well I added some guff above, the flashing guide also says to check the SSD is attached to a certain SATA port if its not recognized.

cheers. i found the bit to change to achi. when i change it, a list comes up saying:
sata 1 hot plug [disabled]
do i need to enable it?

You have followed the guide to the letter,

Burnt to a CD?

Try other ports for the SSD

Try IDE/AHCi mode.
