Hi All,

Looking for some informed opinions on the following:-

I’ve been using an HP Microserver Gen 8 for years as my home NAS/PC. Got dual monitors attached to it and CentOS 7.5 … it’s worked well as my go to PC for a long time. Now the RAID card is acting up and the NAND on the motherboard has failed so time to replace it.

I’ve looked at the Microserver Gen 10 but it does not have good support for Linux, and the CPU is soldered to the MoBo. Really HP??

So I need a small(ish) form factor machine that has four 2.5” drive bays, a fifth SATA for the OS SSD and options for dual monitor display. Quiet is good as it sits in my home office.

Any ideas, it needs to run CentOS 7 (or 8) ideally. I’ve looked at the Microserver 10 Plus which looks good, but costs a fortune!!

Cheers,
Ripface

Could build up something yourself?
The fractal node 304 seems a pretty cool case for this purpose.

SATA ports on ITX could be an issue, but could use NVME as the OS drive.
