I have 12GB Corsair Vengeance ram on the way.
I was thinking of selling my current 6GB patriot Viper kit but have noticed I'd probably only get about £20 for it if I'm lucky. If I decide to keep my patriot Ram installed along with the Corsair Vengeance will I notice any negative effects? I know miss matching ram used to cause a problem but how is it now? The Corsair would be in a triple channel configuration and so would the Patriot.
The ram disk question is a long the same lines. If I kept the patriot as well and decide to make a 6GB ram disk with it, is there any way of specifying which ram modules you want to use to create the disk? Or would it not make a difference?
