I don't have one of these builds, but iirc RAM blocking issues with coolers are largely down to RAM with oversized fins, like Corsair Vengeance, so XMS3 should be fine.

Out of interest, why are you upgrading to 8GB? 4 should be plenty for gaming.

You'll be fine with that memory and cooler.

But if your system is clocked filling all 4 DIMM slots may affect the clock.

By clocking do you overclocking plec ? Atm I havent bothered to overclock as it monsters every game i play css and wow mainly.

As to your question hybrid just because how cheap ram is I do a lot of minimising of screens, music internet etc at the same time so for 35 pound it seems like nothing :)

Yes i did, and as the system isn't overclocked you shouldn't have any issues.

EDIT: It may be that you don't have the 'k' series chip - do you?

If you do have a 2500k, you can still overclock in the future - but your max overclock 'may' be reduced.

Overclocking it is probably a better idea, but oh well. Should work fine anyway, so feel free to get extra RAM. I doubt it'll make much difference apart from having an extra 4GB show up on your PC, though. Games are 32-bit processes and hence are artificially limited to 2GB each, and the other 2GB is more than enough to deal with itunes, firefox/chrome and Windows, but feel free.
