Quick RAM question

Hey,
Just wondered would their be any difference in performance in buying 4x2gb RAM sticks insteadof 2x4gb sticks?

What are the pros/cons?

Personally, I'd go with 2x4gb sticks. Leaves you 2 slots for future upgrades is probably the main reason for why. With 4 2gb sticks, you throttle yourself, if you wanted more Ram in the future you might have to completely get rid of that ram to add more (as sometimes different sizes of ram don't play nicely together), whereas with 2 sticks of 4 gig, you can just add another 2 sticks of 4 at anytime in the future

Unless there was a specific reason you were thinking of getting 4x2gb sticks, then go with 2x4gb.
