What board & CPU are you using? AMD Ryzen loves fast RAM, and games are now using more than 8GBs.

Are they the only choices? Buying new?

personally i would go for the faster ram, but the ram prices are a total joke maybe go with 8gb now and upgrade to 16 in future, anyway you can strech budget a little for 16gb 3000? faster ram does make a impact

what is your system spec and what do you use it for.
if its a general use/gaming pc buy 16gb of slow ram and overclock it
