Quick SATA II cable question

Hi everyone,

Just a quick one, i am looking to get some longer braided SATA II cables for my rig, would someone be able to tell me from the picture below if the cable is actually SATA II. The plug looks different to the ones i have, i cant make out if the plug showed plugs into the device or the board so just want to make sure.

I'm looking to buy 3 of these cables 2 for my HD's and 1 for my DVD drive

well, it says sata on the cable, and as far as I know sata VS sata II cables make no difference on speed/compatibility.

I know what you mean mate, its just the plug shown in the 1st picture looks very different to all the SATA II cables i have, i cant see which end either the device or the board that it would plug in to

The cable in the top picture looks like it is the same as the connector on a mobo and a device which would leave me to believe it may be an extension cable.

Yes, it looks like a male sata connector. You want female.

The OcUK ones in the second picture are all braided together, they won't come seperate.
