Moving into a new flat in the near future and will be getting Sky, or NTL cable tv, depending on which one works out cheaper.

Problem is, the letting is only for 6 months as I'll be relocating to another part of the country after this. Can you get short term contracts with Sky/NTL for 6 months, or can you transfer to a new address and take all the kit with you when you move under the same contract?

ntl you can as long as youre moving to a cabled area....
I guess if you got ntl and you moved to an area with isnt cabled theres not much they can do!
hehe, I see your point. I'll more than likely be moving to London, so that shouldn't be a problem.

If you provide your own sky equipment (about £40 would do it on ebay, or about £100 for sky+) then you wont have any min term.
Is the £100 I've seen on the ads for the Sky+ box, which you then own? And they'd let you move to another location with it part way through the contract?
