Quick spec check before order

so much money! and i really want a more powerful card which is only gonna add to the price! how much faster at these i7s? ive looked at some benchmarks but they are a little confusing, is it like night and day between i7 and a standard intel quad

it's not "day an night" but it is a diference.
should also take into consideration the "future proofing" that such a system offers.

Looking good, the personal touches would be change the Hard drive to the Samsung 320 F1 - Clicky this is single platter and is fairly quick - running one in my pc :)
But it is £3.00 pound more :p

In regards to the cpu cooler, the ASUS Triton 88 is a bit of an unknown quantity. I haven't seen any reviews comparing it to the TRUE or Noctua U12P.

I recommend spending the extra £3 and get the Noctua NF u12P - a cooler that is known to be excellent (quiet and cool).

Make sure the cooler is the 1366 or whatever form factor the i7 is ;)

Other than that, looks good to me. Oh, and for the extra few quid, get before 10am delivery, means that if you are in all day you get more time to play with your kit, and if you have work/uni etc to get to, you can take less time off.

I found it useful being a contractor and charging by the hour anyway ;)

Looks great, should be a blazingly fast computer.

Just gotta check and I couldn't see it mentioned before: you do have a case and a 64 bit Operating system, right?

yes, got an akasa ecplise original and 64 bit vista ultimate, oh one last Q, will that side panel work fine with the old model ecplise I have?

Easily the loudest part of the system.

AS cristi says though, if it is a pain, less than £40 can silence it almost entirely for an Accelero cooler thingy, and a bit more for a Trad2+Noctua NF-S12 120mm fan.

I have the latter, and using the [included with the fan] low noise adapter - which is just a three pin adaptoid with a resistor in it - I can't hear it at all. And it still runs cooler in every respect than the stock cooler.

Lovely.
