Have to build a new gaming rig for the missus and think ive got everything covered.

Intel Core 2 DUO LGA775 E6600 2.40GHz Retail / Gigabyte 965P DS3 / 2GB GeIL PC2-6400C4 DDR2 Dual Channel Kit - Bundle £404.97 (£475.84)
BFG GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail £247.99 (£291.39)
2 x Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB 3200KS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM £103.98 (£122.18)
Zalman CNPS9700-LED Aero Flower (Socket AM2/939/754/775) CPU Cooler £38.99 (£45.81)
FSP Sparkle FX600-GLN Epsilon 600W ATX2.0 PSU £74.99(£88.11)
Akasa Eclipse 62 Aluminium Case - No PSU £87.98 (£103.38)
NEC AD7170A 18x18 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM £17.20(£20.21)
Sub Total : £976.10
Shipping : £12.95
Vat : £173.08
Total : £1,162.13

Only have a few concerns / questions.

Is the BFG 8800 GTS the best option for a 8800? The cheapest 8800GTX is another £100 on top which is really pushing my budget.
Will this setup be able to run the 2 HDs as raid0 and take advantage of SataII ?

PS this is running on a viewsonic 2012 @ 1680x1050

Any other comments appreciated.

Looking good, though there are better PSUs for the price IMO (I would personally go for a 520W Corsair, which is very quiet and would easly do the job) and a cooler such as the Scythe Ninja (silent/fanless at stock) might also be a nicer choice.

Any 8800 card will give you a significant boost in performance over anything else on the market, so yes, the GTS is a more than fine choice. :)

Have changed the PSU to a corsair 620 and changed the MB to a BFG nvidia 680 (concerns over raid0 and the gigabyte MB). Also gonna try those Scythe Ninja CPU coolers on both her intel duo and my amd 4600+.

Along with a new GPU and CPU for my own PC a whooping order of over £1600 has now been placed .../GULP. Thank god for credit cards :D
