Can't see any obvious improvements although you could go for the OEM Q6600 to save a couple of quid, however you do get a longer warranty with the retail version if memory serves. :)
 
since it will be ordereed very soon, i'll stick with the retail chip as £2 for the extra warranty is worth it

pc has been ordered so this thread can be locked/ left to die a slow death.
