Hey, ordering a new rig today, thought I'd run it past you folks just to be on the safe side w. regards compatibility.

I'm quite concerned about the SSD since I have a Raptor drive in use right now holding 100GB, and 60GB just wont cut it. The prices of the larger capacity SSDs are enough to shy me away, also. If the performance is as good as the reviews say then I'll likely be persuaded.

Ignore the graphics card, I wont be ordering that just yet.

CPU: i5 750 w. Zalman CNPS10X Cooler
Mobo: Asus P7P55D
Mem: Corsair XMS3
PSU: Corsair HX 750W
HDDs: OCZ Vertex 60GB SSD, Caviar Black 640GB
Case: Antec 300

i personaly am waiting before going ssd as you say there expensive for the capacity, i would be inclined to hold of the ssd for now and put that saving towards something else, maybe a different case like the lancool k62, not sure what graphics card your planning on but would imagine the antec might be a bit small for the big cards that are coming

edit, heads up fella, your sig is too big stormbreaker;)

Thanks all.

I'm dropping the SSD and just waiting, putting a bit more into a better case. Also, I'll probably be getting a 5870.

That cooler isn't socket 1156 apparently Superewza :(

I'm not sure about the PSU tbh, I never have been good at selecting them. If a couple more people say it's too much for what I have I'll just drop it down a notch.

yeah coolers are a little limited at mo, i just brought a cheap artic freezer 7 pro for now, planning on the corsair when it supports lga1156, and will resell the freezer pro after, the corsair 650w psu would be a good choice , if you dont plan on crossfire if you do possible a corsair psu with more watts
