Right, hoping people can scrutinise this build. My mate wants cheap and chearful ie £400 max for the hardware. Looking at this spec is this the best I could do?

Looks pretty good, only thing you might want to look at is that you make sure the case takes the graphics card. Other than that its a pretty good budget machine
 
Looks good, and the case should fit that card fine. Only thing I'd suggest would be to change the dvd drive, heard a couple of people are having trouble with that one (maybe just someone with bad luck)

Edit: Also, might aswell get an F3.

Actually +1 for the F3, You probably won't notice the difference in SATA2 to SATA3 with a mechanical drive.
