Recently got paid so I've been looking to upgrade some components - Processor, motherboard, RAM. Have a 700W PSU, a more than capable graphics card and everything else.
What do you think of the following:
MSI 870A-G54 AMD 870 (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
G.Skill RipJaw 8GB DDR3 Dual Channel Kit
I suspect the motherboard probably isn't brilliant compared to some of the others. If that's the case what would you recommend?
Are/Any Intel alternatives worth considering? Not a fanboy of either, just want the best bang for buck. I'd like it to be able to continue to play the latest games for a couple of years pretty smoothly, it also needs to be pretty swift at rendering HD video and editing photographs. I suppose a quad-core would probably be good enough for this which would save a few pounds.
I don't want to be spending much more than £300 with the £18 DPD Next Day Before 10AM delivery included as I don't trust DX Secure or Royal Mail to deliver before 10AM.
Thanks
