Hi,

I'm almost about to buy a new cpu/mb/ram bundle as I have everything else.

Please let me know if everything looks ok.

One thing I'm not sure about is the cpu fan. I'm going to be going to a big oc so want a pretty beefy cooler but don't want it to get in the way of the ram, which is a problem I recently had building a friend's system.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I'm using an Antec 1200 so I'm pretty sure space shouldn't be a problem!

I chose the msi board as the idea of being able to upgrade to ivybridge appealed, and in the blurb it does say about the Military Grade II stuff (unless it's/I'm wrong??). The £119 board doesn't mention Gen 3 so I assume it isn't?

No where does it say MilitaryII;)

This does - http://eu.msi.com/product/mb/Z68A-GD55--G3-.html

All 1155 boards can take ivybridge, from the cheap H61 to the top end Z68/P67 boards, just takes a BIOS update.

And as for Gen3, the top slot of the Gigabyte is Gen3 as the pci lane traces are hardwired directly to the cpu socket (the pci controller is on the cpu die), plus there are no Gen3 cards coming soon.
