Hi;

I need to add that the use will be Games such as Total War, MMO games, GTA plus some newer games I hope!

The screen will be sat on my desk so Imagine 24" will be more than sufficient. Is that graphics card the same as some of the more expensive versions?.

Is the monitor a good match?

Regards

R9 390 has double the VRAM and is cheaper. Beats the 970 in a few benchmarks, loses to it in some. Not much in it so I'd pick the AMD card

Monitor is ok

Get a Raijintek cooler - cheaper and better.
