quick steam beta question

hi,

came in from work.. couldnt contact server.. all is ok now im finally in phew

so.. offline mode ?

how do i enable it ? i only got it when i first installed steam, now i dont get the option.. also prior to not getting the option when i tried offline mode it said unable to contact server?? isnt that the point lol


any help please

Can't you just select Steam in the top right hand corner and select "Go Offline" in the drop down menu?

You have to be initially online to go offline though.

thats the problem.. ^ rofl

i want to play my games without internet connection.. of course 99.999999% in good right? but steam server was down and my pc becomes an expensive paper weight

at least i have 360

so my question is still the same can you play steam games in 'offline' mode without an internet connection?
