I've just upgraded from an ATI to nVidia graphics card and things aren't working properly so it's looking like I might need to reinstall windows :(

Question is, will I need to download all my Steam games again? They're on a seperate partition to the windows drive, so I'm hoping I'll be able to just install Steam and it will pick up the games and allow me to play them?

If you keep the partition you should be able to just install steam and it pick up the local files. Not 100% sure however...

Keep the directory and just run the steam.exe once you've reinstalled. It'll download/install some small steam client bits but then you'll be good to go :)

I and people I know have done this dozens of times.

Indeed, def. a good choice :)

I store all games and most apps on a seperate physical drive these days. Though previously I've used different partitions too. Saves a lot of time, especially if you're a windows reinstall junkie like myself.
