Been so long since I've needed a wireless connection on my PC as i've lived at my current address for 5 years and my computer just sits next to my router and therefor is just plugged into it. I am however moving in with my girlfriend where her wireless router lives under her bed. My computer will be in the living room so I just need to be able to connect to her wireless. My current motherboard doesn't have an on board wireless connection so need to buy something to connect me to it. I understand it's a completely novice question but i'm just wondering what would be the best thing to buy as there seems to be just a massive choice!

Any links from the overclockers website will be appreciated!

This is my current motherboard.

Ah brilliant, so much cheaper than I was expecting as well! Thanks for the quick response, wasn't sure if it was best to get something to stick straight in the computer or go with a USB solution either!

Just about any will do the job, really. I had a TP Link USB jobby a while back that seemed to do just fine on the rare occasion I needed it. My brother uses it now on his PC (same issue as you, no cables between his PC and router) and he has no issue in 1+ years.

Depending on what the signal quality is like, you may want to get one that has a proper antenna. Wireless N should be a given. 5GHz WiFi would be useful, too, if the router uses it.

It's a small flat but has to travel through a couple of walls to get there... What would you suggest for one with a proper antenna if you don't mind me asking?

Same advice as above, really. Anything with N (or AC) and/or 5GHz depending on router.

Make sure the antenna is pointing vertically up (or down). Same with the router if it has antennas.
