Quick tax question..

Hi Folks

Can i just query you taxheads over my last pay packet?

My Gross Pay for this month was £1881.19 as I have done loads of overtime this month.. and on a 503L Tax Code and I have been taxed £462.22 so my net was £1423.26

it says here my tax totals are - Income tax = £579.91, NI £280 and taxable Gross is £8330.32

Is the ammount I have had taken from my money this month correct?

Hard to say really as tax is a bugger, if you overpaid you will get it back soon enough.

Sounds right unfortunately, around the same as my basic.

God I hate tax

It doesn't, it pays for immigrants and people on benefits to have cushy lifes.

I wanted my post to be slightly PC and not post something like that, but yes you are correct

Ah well.. was gonna query it with my boss, cuz I have never paid so much tax in my life.. will teach me for doin so much overtime haha..

Well I have just calculated how much tax and NI I will have to pay when I start my job in Sept, needless to say I don't feel like being PC.
