Quick Telewest question.

Watching telewest cable TV and on some of the channels there's a sort of running commentary by some random schmoe over the original sounds ie. on BBC3 or something, watching Buzzcocks and when somebody does something such as wipes their brow, someone in the background will say, "phil jupitus wipes his brow and makes a wry smile at mark lamarr".

Annoying to say the least, anyone know if I can turn this off or am I stuck with it like those bloody sign language people who ruin E4 sometimes.

you prolly have some kind of audio thing type subtitles thing going on check in the setup menu for the box

I heard that last weekend at Pimp My Ride on MTV. God -awful!!!!

it's a bug with the boxes, apparently they are starting to broadcast with a secondary audio stream for the blind (commentary track if you like), and for some reason both NTL and Telewest boxes are sometimes selecting the commentary track without user intervention.

The way to disable it is something along the lines of going into the options, turn it on, then off again - I suspect it's a bug that will be fixed relativiely quickly.
