Quick Test Disk/recovery question

So long story short, I accidentally deleted a partition with 450GB of data on it, so I'm using Test Disk to recover it. Seems to be going well so far.

However, being the idiot I am, when I repartitioned my old hard drive to recover the files onto, I made a 100GB OS partition and left the rest (400GB) for another partition to recover the files to. So I'm recovering 450GB of data to a 400GB partition. :o

My question is, can I move some of the recovered files (I can see them in folders on the partition) to make room for more recovered files, or will that disrupt the recovery process in any way?

Cheers

IMO when i do any type of data recovery, i always recover to another clean HDD, not a partition on the drive i'm trying to recover, as this could overwrite the data :D

This is sorted now, but I was doing it onto a different hard drive. I just partitioned the different hard drive with the wrong sizes.
