The stock auto fan profile in the GTX 200 series as we know are quite tame.

I have made a more aggressive graph (on msi afterburner) based on these parameters:

40% = 0-55°C

50% = 56-60°C

60% = 61-65°C

70% = 66-70°C

80% = 71-75°C

90% = 76-80°C

However, these are quite noisy for my liking so I was wondering what fan profile values do you guys use for your GTX260??

I have my overclock at 680/1466 and the memory at 1224.

Any help much appreciated!!

Fraid I can't help with regards to the graph for MSI - but these are the settings I use in rivatuner - someone else may be able to convert them to the graph values:

Duty cycle min: 40
Duty cycle max: 100
T min: 45
T range: 40
T operating: 94
T low limit: 0
T high limit: 94

T min needs a bit of adjusting tho really to stop the fan "wobbling" slightly between settings when temps are low.

Thanks for the reply. I'm assuming from the rivatuner value basically mean that the minimum temp of 45 degrees or below the fan is at 40%, while at 85 degrees the fan is at 100 % ??. I made a straight ascending curve in afterburner and it seems to have done the trick, its quieter than before, but haven't had time to check the temperature yet.

If its only getting to 72C after a long session of Crysis thats fine - only prolonged running over 80C will cause any hardware issues. Mine evens off at 64C after a long session of gaming with the fan profile I provided but not sure how closely your msi graph fits that.
