though it may be of interest to some of you that the p2 serese mobo mounting points are the same as the p1.
i have just moved the mobo from my sn25p into the shell of a sn27p2 i picked up cheep due to it having a dead mobo. my psu had died. so thought i would get a dead unit for its psu and give the transplant a try as i find the p2 seriese better looking
only issues with this transplant was small modification to the sn25p i/o shield (has to be bent in 2 locations due to slight change in how the psu shelf is mounted). cutting it away with a dremel would have been easyer but im lazy (took about 3 mins)
second and last issue was the daughter board for the front pannel being different so i have lost all front ports but i may try and rectify that at some point.
best find was my sn25p daughter board holds the terminal for the power switch but the fn25 mobo actually has a second header itself.. excelent save that
oh and buying a dead unit with a working psu and an as new, mint condition p2 case was much, much cheeper than a new PSU. you can find them as low as £45 posted btw.
may be of interest to some of you, im rather pleased with my backup systems new look
