Morning Guys and Gals, not sure if this is obvious of not but thought Id share an experiance/potential security hole.
I installed SQL 2008 the other day for the first time, with the reporting service as well. Anyway it automatically and without warning (as far as I can see) creates a web interface at the URLhttp://domain/reports.
Luckily we were trying to access a directory called reports and kept getting the SQL interface. Managed to turn it off via the Report Service options but just a heads up if any one has an public facing SQL 2008 server.
Im sure this is documented in the bumf that comes with SQL but I must be honest, I didnt read it cover to cover so it's my own fault really!
