Quick Unbunti question - setting fefault Grub boot OS

Just before I go spending a few hours reading through the docs and forums, can someone quiclky tell me how I can make my Windows installation the default for the Grub boot loader ?

Thinks I've found it !

menu.lst
default =

0 being the first in the list and so on

Xp is 7 on the list
Only flaw here if additional kernels are installed at some point, that number would need to be manually changed

well, OK I do this:

sudo edit menu.lst

and it asks for a password. The install didn't ask me to set a root password (as I recall every install I've ever done in the past has)
 
Done !!

Now to research setting up an SSh server to allow a colleague to log onto the machine. That is in synaptic as well I'd guess

EDIT: yes that was there, and achieved also !
