They had the graphics card back since 7th oct in their possession ive just checked my online banking and the refund still isnt it, so ive now been waiting 19 days for a refund lol. Ive emailed to say someone please take ownership and sort this out. Should i take this to trading standards etc?

Ive had no graphics card for the best part of a month these people are shockingly bad if anything goes wrong just a heads up to everyone!

I have used them quite a bit and never had a problem. I returned a faulty monitor a couple of weeks back and it was refunded a few days later..?

They've done exactly this to me twice, so i no longer shop there. Generally OCUK offers better performance hardware at better prices too.

I've found them excellent, especially with returns. I had to rma RAM a while back and they suggested buying some new ram which was delivered the next day so I didn't have any downtime. I waited about a week for the money to returned to my account which was fine by me.

To keep this equal, I've found ocuk a little unreliable a couple of times with deliveries so I'd put it down to luck. Both companies have excellent customer service in general but ocasionally things go wrong..

they have been disinterested throughout and have never given me any accurate timescales they just make it up there and then on the call like a bunch of cowboys

Never used them, i use another competitor, i know someone who has though, and they've never had a problem, but i think they've only bought from there a few times.

You should have gone to spec savers!

I rma'd something to ocuk last week and got an email saying my refund will be on my card in 5 days time today.

That's why I tend to buy from ocuk even when they are not quite the cheapest sometimes. ;)

BUgger, I`m just about to return something to them also. Fingers crossed. I`ll post here if the RMA returns experience ends up good or bad.

THey all probably have good and bad times. ANother competitor failed to deliver an item to me on a Sat (a TV) and I then cancelled it because I wasn`t able to take delivery for a while. I wAs told the order had been cancelled and no money taken but a few days later the money was taken. I then had to contact them again to get the refund and they did it promptly. I don`t mind the occassional error as long as they put it right switftly.

Calm down dear: getting angry will not help the thought process at either end.

Go to them armed with all the evidence you have and ask for a response based on that evidence. If you don't get a response within the given timescale, escalate. Rinse and repeat until you get the desired option.

Having dealt with around ten/fifteen companies over the years where computer hardware is concerned, I've only ever had a problem with one which hasn't been referred to in this thread as yet. That was resolved using the aforementioned process.

I guarantee they will have policies and procedures in place for circumstances like yours, so make you find out what they are and use them to benefit your cause rather than badmouthing them on another forum. This will not do you or anybody else any good.

I ordered a full system from them a couple of months ago for my dad, who then decided that he would take my old parts off my hands instead. He returned all of the parts (a full £500 worth of stuff) under distance selling regs and got the refund immediately.

If you are having problems though, which is never fun, do what mrthingy says; take it higher in the chain until somebody listens.

Not had a problem with them at all. The email system can be a bit slow but if you ring them and speak directly with someone regarding your order they will sort it. I had to swap an item and get a refund and it was done over the phone and confirmed within about 10mins.

Another thread about this...

Ok, here's the thing. You find a retailer where not one single customer has had a bad experience with them, then you go shop there.

Oh wait, you won't find one...

These threads are utterly pointless. For every single person who says they have had <insert bad experience here> you will get another bunch who say <insert good experience here> and vice versa.

I shop there, I will continue to shop there regardless of your experience. I also shop here and will continue to shop here regardless of what h-e-x-u-s people say.
