hi all.
just about to purchase these, since i want a new monitor [dell 2407 wfp] i think i need a new gfx card and a new psu.

can anyone suggest me which 8800ultra to get? do you think it will fit in an antec 900 with asus p5w?
and which PSU to get? the corsair 620w looks good ~ what do you think?

cheers big time! :)

The Dell is a quality monitor, can't go wrong with that. Are you sure you want and 8800 Ultra? What games are you playing? An 8800GTX is more than enough at 1920 x 1200. As for the PSU, if your only running one GPU then the 520W Corsair will be enough, provided the rest of your PC isn't too over the top.

yeha, i was thinkikng about getting an asus 8800gtx as it has some good reviews and it is the cheapest of the gtx lot.
but i think i'll stick with the 620w just to be ion the safe side mate :) cheers.

do you think the gtx will fit then on the mobo etc.?
and do you know if it has the correct cables for the gpu?

cheers

As for the motherboard, I'd strongly recommend going with one of the new P35 based boards. These are the only boards which will support the upcoming Penryn CPU's, and so provide future proofing. Have a look at the Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4, or even the Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6. The 8800GTX/Ultra will fit both these boards and be fully compatible. Good luck mate. :D

cheers
im not really bothered about changing motherboards cos 8800gtx will be using sli, and i cbf buying another crossfire board. and my conroe is fine :)
