Quick Upgrade Question

Hi folks - i'm looking to do a cheap upgrade from this Sys:

3500 clawhammer 939
A8V deluxe
L/Tech 68GT Black PCB

to:
4600x2 939
A8N-SLi SE (or Premium as haven't decided yet)
76GT (with scope for a 2nd in SLi later on)

The question I'm asking is will this give me a noticeable boost in performance over and above what I currently run. There is a Gig of Corsair cpt2 already in and will be transferred over, hence keeping costs down and why I' not looking to go AM2.

I'm not being funny when I say I'm not interested in Core 2 Duo and AM2 as cost is paramount at the mo, and pricing for 939 stuff is tumbling so it makes sense to take advantage. A big, complete upgrade is not in the picture any time soon so is not being considered at all.

So, will it be worth the upgrade, or wait with what I have. :D

Cheers folks

Oh, and it will be used for Gaming and multimedia stuff

Hmmm, cheers. I was more interested in the VGA difference as I've been reading how good the 76GT is recently and how one card can beat a pair of 68GT's in sli. Is this wrong then?

SLI performance is still a bit iffy in some cases and I can see why that could happen but to be honest the 7600 GT isn't a world away from the 6800 Ultra (though it can put out near 7800 figures sometimes) which isn't much at all (the Ultra) from what you have now.

I'd go for an X1800 XT or 7900 GTO or something like that at a minimum.
