Quick Upgrade Question

Ok i'm looking at an impulse purchase of a new GFX card to replace my 5850 cf setup.

I have a faithful old Dell 24in and play mostly at 1920-1200 and £300 to spend although less would be better.

Not bothered about the colour really, all though after some driver issues with the AMD cards I would not be adverse to a switch to the green team.

Thanks for the replies but I have not been keeping up with what's happening with computer bits for awhile, so will that 670 be faster or a similar speed to my current set-up, also would the 7970 be much faster than the 670for the extra £30?

At stock I would give the 670 a small lead; both overclock very well, though I might give the 7970 the edge when overclocking. There's really nothing in it. See what games you play favour one either the green or red team.

if you're intending to play bf3, nvidia is the way to go
depending on what games you play, either the red or the green team would be better
