Similar to mickyflinn's spec but i'd save some cash to spend elsewhere perhaps case as Idleman asked:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with Crysis 3 & Bioshock PC Games £249.95
1 x Plextor M5 Pro 256GB Extreme Series Solid State Drive - (PX-256M5P) £179.99
1 x Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom CPU Cooler (Socket 775 / 1155 / 1156 / 1366 / 2011 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM3 / FM1 / FM2) £59.99
Total : £501.32 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Ninja edit. :D

With a £80 price difference currently it's not worth it.

You could overclock the cheaper card yourself to close the gap.

much of a clocking difference between the ghz listed cards and the mere mortal cards?

tbh I don't see me moving away from 1080p for the forseeable future so i'd probably be as well sticking with the standard 7970 if its only going to be a 10% difference

I would imagine the overclocking headroom of the GHz card is less as its already closer to its limit than the cheaper card.

But then not all silicon overclocks the same.

Remember that the weekly deals change tomorrow also.

well that settles that then :) I take it the windforce @ £300 is one of the better 7970s to go for?

any thoughts on a h100i over high end and comments on the 2 ssds mentioned already folks?
