Quick V-Sync query

ok quick question here V-Sync and the UT3 demo
i hav a low end system for running this game with:
p4 3ghz 800fsb
2 gb ram 667's
7300GS PCI-e 16x

on or off, which is better for performance/smoothness


then on other games that my pc can run fine... on/off?

ah thats another thing i was gonna ask REFRESH rate so far (before ut3 cames out) i had it set to lowest possible guessing that this would put less strain on my graphics card to constantly refresh so performances increased.... now i think i was complely wrong it thinking this :S

so 75 hz is better then 60 hz for ut3 performance?
