I have a new laptop with vista Ultimate on it. Now i have not registered it and i want to put window xp x64 bit on it.

My question:

I did not get any recovery disks with it, If i wipe the drive but in the future want to install vista ultimate is it just a matter of borrowing a copy installing it and using my product key??????

Yep. If you went to Windows XP x64 Bit Edition and later wanted to go to Vista Ultimate its just a matter of using your serial with a copy of Vista Ultimate. Aslong as you backup the drivers. Should be somewhere on the system.
