Quick VMware network question

Simple really, I want to test upgrading our Domain to 2008 & Exchange to 2007, have spare servers.
As I don't want to bork our production network, they can't obviously be on the same network, simple use Host networking on the VMware server.
But the spare servers I have don't have enough capacity to run more than 3 virtual servers each.
So, is there a way of having two physical machines loaded with VMware Server 2, and linking their host networks so they can talk to each other but not the main production network?

On the Virtual machines you have created, remove any NAT, Bridged etc networking and just give them an Internal Network Connection. Assign both machines a static ip address, 192.168.x.x

and bobs your uncle. :)
 
If these are copies of your real servers then I'd just plug both into an isolated switch so that they are kept separate from the live domain. Remember that even if you change the IP addresses to isolate at a TCP network level you might have problems with NETBIOS names (duplicates) if the backups are plugged into the live network.
 
That is what I am thinking to be honest, as I don't think you can link two physical machines host networks :)
