I just purchased this watch: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produ...s>C$cip=1500011852.Men's+bracelet+watches.htm
reserved it, went and picked it up and came back to the office.
Having got back and opened it up (i had at argos but just to check for scratches etc) it wasnt working, now the consensus in my office has been to take it back, but to prevent looking too stupid i just wanted to ask if there might be some obvious way of switching it on that has eluded my office.

i set the time and pushed the bit in and nothing. but the chronograph bit works, it's just the normal bit that doesnt.
i havent checked there's a battery in it, but i was advised not to take the back off which was my first plan

Are you saying the second hand does not move or *** hour and minute hand dont move.

If it the second hand most chronos dont have sweeping second hands they have sub dials at 9 o'clock

rubbish, guess i'll have to go to argos, just hoping they can sort it there and then because they've not got any more in stock to replace it with, so will be money back and watchless if not :(
