Quick Xbox 360 pad question

Im looking to get one of the Xbox 360 wired pads for use with my PC, mainly for PES6. However, after looking at a couple of online stores im a bit confused. Is the PC compatible version a different version than the 360 version? Seems to be two different types of wired pad at some places. Or is it just a standard package? I assume they both connect via USB? Hope this makes sense, thanks.

Hardware wise, they're identical, just the PC version comes with a driver disc, I think, which you can download off the internet anyway.
