Quick Xbox Live Question

Can you use the Xbox Live gaming service with gamecard type things purchased from Game store?

eg. I purchase gamecards that allows me to play World of Warcraft for 2 months at a time.

I had the service up and running, but since I last used Xbox Live I have cancelled my VISA card. I really don't want to open a new card (or re-activate the old one if thats possible) for this purpose only. Having searched the official site, it seems Switch is not accepted.

Failing the above I'll use the wife's card.

Edit. Having searched the official site I only see options to redeem points, but this is for purchasing extra content, downloads and stuff.

You can buy a one year kit for like £30 odd, not sure if they do any lower than that.

But I think you have to type in a credit card when you sign up anyway, could be wrong!

You can buy monthly cards with a code underneath a scratch off bit from many stores. Redeem code is an option on the dashboard or you can use the website to put the code in.

you can get 3 month ones 12 months in a store generaly set you back 40
