Quick Xbox Live Question

Hi folks.

Does anyone in the UK ever play against anyone from Australia on live?

I used to play live loads when in England but could never remember seeing any Aussies online.
Maybe because things are a little behind here they didnt have live?? Last time I played live in the UK was over 2 years ago.
Broadband has come on loads in the last year or so and they have pretty good speeds.

I want to get back on live but I dont want to play with a load of surfer doods who think my accent is Irish :rolleyes:

yes Australia has live
but the time difference makes it rare to play with much of them

Are the games any good or a lagfest?

Saturday morning is Friday night in the UK , thought that would be a good time to play.

it's not really about broadband speed, you will still have a terrible ping to the other side of the world... Would normally be a pretty bad experience for anything other than noughts and crosses

yeah fast paced games like football or racing would be bad
something slower would be ok though i guess

I havent been on live for 2 years , will I be able to restart my membership and get my old username and friendlist back?

Is there any way of checking if your proposed gamertag is taken?
Im having no luck recovering my old one , no longer have the email address asociated with my account , no password , no phone number , no longer have the same credit card and cant even remember my old postcode!!

Did a little google and didnt come up with anything.

Go to Xbox.com and try to sign up an account, afaik that's the only way to check properly, but you could try:

http://live.xbox.com/en-GB/profile/...etails.aspx?tid= ];he)j3w&compareTo=username

Where 'username' is the name you want to check.
