quick z5500 Q?

when i got these bout 6 months ago and turned them up to near full i had no problems, but last week i got up to about half and got the nasty whine noise and being on half was very loud and scared the hell out of me =)

i aint moved my speakers since i got them so whats causing it?

just so u know i have sub on floor and center and 2 fronts on my desk, bout 30cm between each, and i have my rears behind bout 2 meters apart.

Have you changed any hardware since getting your 5500's? When you originally whacked it up was it through the same source as you are trying now i.e optical/coax/analogue?

Could it be the fact that a microphone was not muted and so caused feedback?

no mic was plugged in i dont think, but i will test again to make sure its not that

i have changed all my hardware but also did a reinstall of windows

have you increased ** pc volume? I have mine set at half then use my 5400 volume otherwise it gets nasty at higher volumes.
