How long did you guys need to leave your iPhone off for, and how long do you need to let it dry until you can use it?

I left it off for about 20 minutes but I was very careful not to let the water get anywhere near any obvious openings, I didn't actually handle the phone much until about eight hours later though.

When I put one on my iPod Touch, I didn't even turn it off!

What about giving it a quick hairdryer blast after ive applied it, to speed up the process?!

I put a BSE (BestSkinsEver) on my iPod touch and left it turned off for at least 8 hours. Bought the iPod the previous day so i made sure not to wreck it

I bought a BSE for my 2G phone AGES ago and havent been able to find their website/name again for my 3G phone. Been searching everywhere and just gave up! Going straight to buy one now!

the corners are a right mission, cant get them to stick :mad:

for corners wet you fingers and palms a lot with spray or water(if water then give them a real good shake) then rube a bit on ther corners then press em into place and hold with you palm for few minutes. ideal time to do it is when F1 or footy is one tbh.

as for how long you should leave it off. 24hours should be done or at least a good few hours. i remember googling before i installed it and some guy messed up the screen which ended up having a horrid rainbow effect

Put it back in the original iphone plastic box thing it came in. How i did mine, works fine.

That's what I did, great minds think alike

Unfortunately I ripped off my InvisibleShield because I wasn't happy about a couple of dust specs underneath (yes, I'm that anal). Been trying to find a replacement one for ages but it just seems to be the 3G one being sold on the bay.

My corners never stayed down. Over the course of the month I've had the IS on, all 4 corners have progressively peeled off. Only the flat bits have stayed down.

you used to be on bw didnt you?

anyways you can wash the IS and re use it. it you dammaged then e-mail zagg they sent me a replacement sharpish and as its got livetime cover they may send you one.wont hurt to try

Quick question from myself here. I've just put a shield on my iPod touch with great success, however if I do need to peel it off in the future, is the residue easy to wash off?

Yup

I got fingerprints on mine, plus some dust underneath it, so I pulled it off which rendered it a bit useless (stretched, etc)

I left my phone off for about 20 hours. Sure you could turn it back on sooner, but why risk it....

I'm happy with mine, although I wish I had another to apply- think I could do it a whole lot better now. Got a couple of edges not quite down properly and a bubble on the back but it's better than no protection at all.

I've just ordered one of these for a 3GS, Can I ask, when you applied it to the back, did you start at the top or the bottom?

start from the center moving towards teh camera hole the move the opposite way. the back is hard to do first time round
