Hi guys

I am moving out of a rental place and need to repaint 2 of the walls in my room. I have called the agent and they have told me the exact paint. im going to paint corner to corner to aviod lines etc. however whats the best and quickest way to get into the corners etc without painting the ceiling etc.

I have seen these pad type things. are they any good for the edges and then roller the rest?

never had to worry about paint over running before haha

The pad systems are rubbish, just use a roller (a quality one not a cheap one), then just be careful, dont put to much paint on the roller, sorted

Why just two walls?.

If you paint 2 of them, the other two will look wrong (as they must have been naturally discoloured over time.

Last time I moved out of a rental place I ended up doing all the walls & the ceiling of the main room (as just doing part made it look stranger than it did before I started).

Load a shotgun full of paint, I haven't actually done this myself but working through the logistics of it in my head I think there's no chance of anything going wrong.

I find pads to be rubbish. A decent roller and a decent set of paintbrushes are far more use.

I like them because you can make the pad absorb loads of paint and then spread it out over a huge area. I can do a whole room uber quick with them :D
With pads you HAVE to make sure you spread the paint out a lot of it will go on the wall pretty thick and won't dry with a very good finish.

Painting just 2 walls will make the others look bad. Do them all. Go round the edges with a smaller paintbrush, use masking tape if you're worried about going onto the ceiling, then use a roller and put a couple of coats on all walls, it'll take less time than trying to paint just two without getting paint on the others.

Get some frog tape to mask the edge of the ceiling and use a roller.

this - frog tape in not the cheapest but by FAR the best at not smudging the paint and then the peeling off. A good roller, a decent smaller brush and some frog tape for the bits you don't want to paint.
