Firefox open opens by default to 3/4 of the full screen, leaving the right side clear. How can i make it full screen default, i've checked lots of options...

Size it by dragging it and making it the size of your screen rather than pressing the maximize button.

Its still not fullscreen mode though, you end up having to click the maximise button.

try creating a new windows user account and see if it saves the information in there, it should save it, maybe your account is screwed..

Press the maximise button and close the application. Open it again and it should be revert to the previous window state (i.e., maximised).

if you hold down the 'shift' button when closing the window, it *should* re-open in the same size/space....

no options worked i'm afriad, it still opens 3/4 of the size. It did recently popup at box asking me about my bookmark options, i clicked the wrong button and lost them all, i did the research, and got them back. Could this be affecting it?

I use firefox all the time so this is really quite annoying!

Maybe there's some kind of side bar that's broken & trying to show up and not showing up?
Have you got any sidebar extensions installed??

oh bloody hell, fresh install damn ladies!!!

right click on the shortcut, go to properties, then under "run" select "maximised".

sorry to sound like a noob, but WHAT shortcut? Presumably a fresh install will allow me to save all my options and bm's

Where it says normal window click on the arrow and then max..

try pressing f11 or some other f key, of course you could reformat but that might not work

f11 works well for me

thats just a workaround tho..

i use start, run, firefox

good format does wonders if creating a new user profile doesn't fix it
