Quickie, what tyres do you use with your MX-5's?

As per the title and how much brass?

Wheels are 195 50 15 and currently entertain several different brands, some rather 'special' so I want 4 replacements.

Goodyear Eagle GSD3's are one of the if not the best.

About 65 / 75 notes a corner fitted

Event Mobile Tyres, as the car was on the drive with a nail in each of 3 tyres I ordered at 10.30am and they where at my home fitting them at 3pm the same day!

Goodyear hydragrips on mine at £45 each. I rarely run out of grip unless I'm being a complete pratt.

I have some pile o' crap tyres on at the moment and I just haven't had the time to change them to the Eagle F1s I have got on order. I need a full geo done but that'll have to wait! I heard Toyo Proxies were good with MX5s too.

ay, that was proberbly me ranting about them went from f1s to proxies and hardly noticed the difference (and as firestarter can testify i don't exactly hang around) maybe slightly less straight line grip, but better latteral (cornering) about the same in the wet, but for me about half the price (with 16" wheels)

Goodyear F1's were my choice, excellent tyres.

I changed my wheels and they already had bridgestone touranza's sp? on and they seem just as good tbh.

IN the dry even my one front ditch finder special seemed ok (Fitted by previous owner).

But in the Wet it was shocking, good wet grip is critical for me, don't want the thing swaping ends!

New rims are having F1's fitted without a doubt cost is a non issue tbh.

Id agree and at 31 quid a tyre on mytyres theres no excuse to have some decent boots.
