Quicksilver

does anybody else find quicksilver really fiddly to set up and also a bit buggy?

for example, i wanted to use the shelf feature and after finally getting it set up (which was a pain in itself) the shortcut seems really temperamental...

cmd+opt+s sometimes works and sometimes doesn't and i can't decipher the factors which control this...

i would say shall i just wait till there is a stable release but its been in beta for ever and a day hasn't it?

I don't get Quicksilver, I ran it for a while and it didn't seem to index the things I wanted it to, even though as far as I could tell I'd done all the required configuration. I ended up deleting it.

thats how I felt first time round about a year ago and took the same course of action as you...

but that shelf is just undeniably useful...

heres an example, I have also enabled all the right stuff for the clipboard module, but it doesn't show up... the bit that needs to be "flicked on" is in the options within the catalog section, but clipboard doesnt even show up in there like it should...

tried restarting the app, no good... crazy.

Are you using Quicksilver just for its clipboard feature?

i have put it on for its shelf and clipboard features... but if i start to like it i will use if for a few more things...

at the moment i've finally got the shelf and clipboard working well so i'll add in a few plugins and have a play...
